I am Adam Worsfold, I was born in London UK and I was educated in Europe from 7 to 15 years old, when my family returned to the UK I attended Brighton University until I was 21 . I have always been an entrepreneur , as even at school I sold scalextric cars that I modified to go faster . I am unashamedly opinionated and outspoken I do not keep quite when I don't agree with things . I never agreed with the mind set that many schools create as everyone has a right to live how they choose . I am an extremely private person and my personal life remains nothing to do with my business life. The two are not the same, and they remain 100% separate. My motivation is rarely money, but it is progression, both personal and corporate . A company is not one person and one person is not a company it is always a team & meeting of minds.

In 2005 my partner at the time became very active on the new Facebook platform , I immediately saw that "The Facebook" was disruptive, and intrusive, and I wanted no part of it . I do not crave positive reinforcement and I think everyone must look at themselves to obtain progress in life. I have NEVER had a Facebook account . I accept all social media has its place , but its not in my personal life.  We are getting more vocal on new platforms but the same remains my personal life is mine and not for public view . There is one picture of me on our site " www.OA21.com " and its not obvious .  My privacy is exactly that- mine

I had my first record player  at 4 years old made by " Marx toys "  then when I was 15 my older brother gave me a music center made by Sharp in Japan for Xmas, I knew that I could make it better so I did, the rest as they say is history. When I was 17  I became an apprentice in a UK audio factory called " Thorn EMI "  the die was now cast. My mission was to make HiFi and manufacture all products better . I saw how things were made and I knew cost cutting was king driven by accountants, I hated this compromise each day I watched how it took place . I vowed I had to change this culture, ONIX AUDIO was born a short time later.  ONIX ultimately re-wrote the book .

The pursuit of great sound is driven by knowing what great sound is , it comes first . Knowing what the best sound  from a reference you know is right . While I worked in a world famous club as a barman at weekends, while doing my apprenticeship during the week , I had the good fortune to meet a few famous 80s bands personally, this allowed me to understand what music really is, hearing it at its source and how sound shaped my life . One well known person was seriously involved in her sound production, this left a mark on me . It was very important in development of ONIX AUDIO  products .

Its the ability to reproduce  music as close as the artist wanted you to hear it , it takes a great source ( Vinyl/Media Player  ) and it takes a fantastic amp to move the speakers as fast as possible ( Push the speaker out, and PULL it back ultra fast ready to do it all again ) and it takes speakers that move air with precision and perfection . It is not MP3 , that has only 20% of the original recording  and it is not any other compressed audio such as "Flak" or "lossless"  its pure sound with all of the signal recorded from the studio creating the music to be heard at the end ,  as its meant to be . Once you know what it is you cant go back .

Yes I do, I  designed the DNA range entirely ,  and I was a large part of the design of the ONIX line up , but every design is a team effort and there are a huge number of things to do to get a new product such as the DNA range to production . If it was easy everyone would do it and very few do .  I find it strange many people comment on forums bragging about how easy design is, yet none of those seem to be the people that produce anything . Forums are narrow Social media platforms ,  existing with far too many "armchair critics" contributing by repeating hearsay that the internet perpetuates to those that want to find it then repeat it.

I value time much more than many , time is our most valuable gift . I dont watch TV as I always have better things to do.  When I am personally the subject on forums its because some use their time to seek out  " Friends "  craving to be liked and attract attention.  Covid 19 lock-downs made it even worse . While most companies were closed for Covid 19, people were stuck at home, this was bound to have an effect . In my opinion the attention seeking trolls ( Keyboard Warriors ) on forums exploded during the Covid crisis .I offered to meet them when they talked about me  but  It has never been taken up , my offer still stands .  Remember if you see anything  suggesting I have done wrong, ask for proof and watch them run away. Trolls are worthless they just clutter up the internet, We must all learn, as I have - to ignore them.

I have a new team working with me , I stood down and appointed a new CEO to take over day to day running, Mr Kane Luttrell.  I will still have input, but we will have new drive, energy with direction to take us to the next stage of OA21. We will have some great new  products , my time was needed to create those . My love for HIFI is in our DNA , but Kane is crucial for our progress. We are a progressive company that knows if we are to meet the needs of customers, we need a younger more vibrant take on things . I believe Kane will provide us with what we need to go forward for everyone.

We do have an ability to re introduce on line sales, but we are inclined to work via dealers from now on for our exclusive high end products . We feel agents represent us the way our customers need it, we will appoint new agents  on a selective basis and they will be in many cases independents that know real HiFi, those that  can support us and the customer . The OA21 products sold via dealers will not be sold on line from us , the products sold on line will not be sold via dealers . We will support our agents 100% with all areas of support they require . Kane will be working with them to secure the support they need .

OA21 is a company known to be independent, and offer the best sounding products at to those that know great sound, and unrivaled designs . We are always a  team not one person , and we know a  team is the future of any company. Our new CEO Kane has new ideas he will be introducing them soon   . My favorite saying is - " you don't know where your going if you don't know where you've been " 35 years is where we have been .. we know where we are going , we invite you to join us for the journey.
